Workplace for good

Workplace, Meta’s business communication tool, helps organizations connect their workers. Since 2018 we have donated it to eligible nonprofit charitable organizations around the world.

How we help nonprofits all over the world.

Workplace donates the equivalent of $92m of software annually. It’s helped form 22,000 groups on Workplace and sends 300,000 messages every day for nonprofitable charitable organizations. We are proud to play our part in helping these organizations change the world for the better.

Reach a new level, with the help of new technology

Workplace helps nonprofits communicate and collaborate, but it’s just one of the tools Meta can offer to assist them. Meta Quest can open up the world of virtual reality and all the possibilities it offers.

Whether it’s research, complex training or guides to simple procedures, learning in VR is far more effective because of the ability to build muscle memory as things feel more real. So, whether you need to offer training for disaster scenarios, rescues, or emergency medical procedures, VR can help make it safer and more memorable.

The very nature of nonprofits will mean travel for its volunteers or staff is a cost they’d rather not incur. Workrooms is a VR experience that helps everyone feel as if they’re right in the same room, or work space, even when they may be physically miles apart.

While the metaverse is still very much in production, nonprofits will eventually need to have a presence there. We can help them take those early steps so they can tell their story, appeal for funds, and attract workers or volunteers in a new space.
